The office remains closed for regular office appointments. We continue to see only emergency patients in the office. If you are asked to come to the office, you must first complete the COVID-19 self screening tool. If the screening recommends self-isolation, or to seek COVID medical attention, do not come to the rheumatology clinic. We will be happy to reschedule or convert it to a virtual appointment:

We have installed Plexiglas barriers at our reception desk, and all patients and chaperones are required to wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose. When you check in for your appointment you may be asked to wait in your car until the doctor is ready to see you in order to minimize traffic in our waiting room.
We thank you for your cooperation in keeping our staff and patients safe!

We continue to encourage our patients to sign up for a free Medeo account, in order that we be able to communicate securely with you. Information about Medeo is found here. Most patient interactions for the next few weeks will be by phone or video. Video visits and sending documents (lab requisitions, etc) will be via Medeo. Once you have signed up for Medeo, you can call the office to confirm that we have your email address on file.

Due to the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are taking several steps to help reduce the risk to our patients. This page will be updated daily.

We are now conducting new consultations and follow-up appointments by phone or video instead of in-person. Our staff will contact you to advise on what to expect for your upcoming appointment. We use a secure system called Medeo for the video consultations. This service is free for patients. Click here for information on how to sign up for a Medeo account.
-
For the time being, we are ONLY seeing urgent patients for in-person visits. If you have an in-person visit, please review the following:
-
You must complete the COVID-19 screening tool found here. If you are directed to self-isolate, DO NOT come to our office for an appointment. Our staff will be happy to convert your visit to a phone or video consult, or re-schedule the appointment.
-
If you are cleared to come to the office, you may bring a maximum of one person with you. This person must also complete the screening tool. You may be asked to wait in your car until the doctor is ready to see you, in order to minimize traffic in our waiting room
-
If you have any symptoms of non-rheumatologic illness, including fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other flu-like symptoms, DO NOT come to the office for your appointment.
